The Woman, the Vision, the Work

Sharing light, living intentionally, and following the journey God has placed before me.

Koren—a Hebrew name meaning “ray of light” or “beaming”—is more than just a name; it’s a reminder of the life I strive to live. Leaving a meaningful legacy has guided me in everything I do ever since I read in the Bible that living with godly intention truly matters.

By day, I am a banker, and alongside that, I pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Writing a book, however, was never something I imagined for myself.

My Writing Journey

From quiet woods to cozy corners, my writing reflects the seasons and soul.

I’m not a professional writer, and honestly, becoming one was never part of my wildest dreams. I just had this quiet desire to have my own book—without even thinking much about the actual writing part.

As far back as I can remember, I would join essay-writing contests in high school. But I never took it seriously. It was mostly for academic requirements, extracurricular activities, or simply for fun. Back then, I was more inclined toward science. I loved buildings, design, aesthetics in architecture, engineering, and anything related to construction.

In recent years, I found myself writing in my journal—stories, song lyrics, poems—sometimes even under a pen name when friends asked for something. But still, everything I wrote was just for self-expression, especially since I’m an introvert.

But God had other plans. He placed me in unfamiliar, uncomfortable places and in a job far from what I thought my heart wanted. Looking back, I realize He had His reasons. He led me to people who helped me become the person He intended me to be, guiding me to the path I didn’t know I was meant to take. And I believe that path is where my writing journey truly began.

When I took the first step toward creating my own book—now Tiny Talks, Timeless Moments—God brought people into my life who made it possible. Ms. Geraldine Solon, a best-selling author, generously guided me on how to start. She referred me to Ms. Joy Aspa, a print specialist, who then introduced me to Mr. Jahric Lago—a publisher, author, editor, and layout artist. Through Mr. Lago, my journey to becoming a “writer” became real. And I will be forever grateful.

Of course, I know my English isn’t perfect, and sometimes I just write whatever my brain wants to spill out. That’s why I’m always thankful for Ms. Crystal Llante Paderan, who helps me express my thoughts more clearly and edits my work with so much patience.

My writing journey has been a surprise—not only to me but also to the people around me. I’ve always been the introverted type who shies away from attention, especially in social gatherings, and most especially when it comes to speaking my mind.

I feel blessed, and I want to be a blessing to others in my own simple ways. I hope the words I struggle to speak out loud can find their way through my books and blogs—and I hope they touch you in ways that truly matter.

God, in His grace, planted a desire in my heart to use the gifts and talents He has given me to share His goodness with others. My hope is to be that “ray of light” in the ways I can, helping others feel encouraged, inspired, and seen.

It is my heartfelt prayer that everything you read here blesses you, sparks reflection, and reminds you of the purpose and light within your own journey.

“Dream boldly, shine humbly, and sparkle with grace.” Koren
